I Earth Construction & Sustainable Rehabilitation Conference

Earth building systems
Thursday, April 19th at Can Monroig
Time: 16:30

Speech by Juana Font Arellano, president of the Antonio Font de Bedoya Foundation from Palencia. Art historian, professor in various courses, Master of Restoration in different European universities and institutions, as well as National Societies of Construction History.

The construction of buildings has a major environmental impact. The use of large amounts of energy, waste generated by construction work and unhealthy atmospheres have a negative impact on the environment.

Creating energy-efficient housing and rehabilitating existing buildings using sustainable construction materials are the pillars of modern construction.

Rammed earth, a construction technique widely used in Mallorca but still unknown, meets all the conditions for sustainable construction. These techniques make us wonder if the future of construction lies in looking back.
