We rebuilt the roof, providing it with ecological and natural insulation, using lime mortars and natural materials. We restored the walls that were half-ruined. We adapted the existing space to the client's needs without losing the essence of the original house.
We use noble materials such as oak beams, recycled wood in the carpentry, old stone slabs on the ground floor, lime floors on the ground floor or recovered old doors.
The walls were plastered with lime mortar and then painted with natural paints pigmented with earth tones.
The walls of the bathrooms and showers are made using the tadelakt technique (waterproof lime mortar). Heating was provided by electric underfloor heating under the stone slab and the “trespol” on the first floor. As it is a house with thick walls and insulating materials such as lime were used in its restoration, energy savings are significant. The terraces surrounding the house were paved with natural stone from a quarry in Mallorca.
Some of the furniture of the house were made to measure, subsequently painting and patinating them: kitchen furniture, bathroom furniture, etc.
For the wardrobes, old doors were recovered and adapted to the space.
