Belle Scar (Geeta) concert at Can Monroig 2017

Belle Scar is the new project of the Canadian singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer Geeta Pearson that toCurrently lives in London  where she develops her musical career with her partner, the musician and producer Marc Olivier.
This is not the first time that Geeta has visited Mallorca and given a concert at Can Monroig. She did so previously in 2013 when she was still living in Montreal and in 2016.

With clear influences from Bjork  Or Patti Smith, a deep voice with tragic undertones and imaginative, somewhat surreal lyrics, Geeta combines vocals, percussion and keyboards with electronic sounds.

His artistic projects are inspired by David Bowie, Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, Andy Warhol, Bjork, Danny Elfman and Grace Jones.
In recent years he has participated in the Glastonbury festival in England, NXNE in Toronto, Fringe and Pop in Montreal, Fields Emporda on the Costa Brava or Fringe festival in Bath, among others. His latest work "In the deep" was recorded at Plastic Sound Studios in London with Marc Olivier as a sound engineer and producer.
In Can Monroig Geeta will sing, accompanied by Marc's piano and electric guitar.

Belle Scar is the new music project of multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, artist and producer Geeta. Originally from Montreal, she now lives in London UK She is influenced by cinematographic moods and grooves, dark pop, art, rock' n roll, analogue vintage sounds, electronics, poetry, surrealism, sci-fi and dreams.
With her wide vocal range and powerful live performances, Belle Scar carries along the audience to magical places.

She's an eccentric on stage, with her unique style of singing and dancing, you can think she's a creature from another planet. Every project she works on is an artistic concept inspired by artists such as David Bowie, Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, Andy Warhol, Bjork, Danny Elfman, Grace Jones…She explores different personas, characters and musically, she experiments with a wide range of instrumentations, arrangements to always create something new and exciting with acoustic and electronic music.

She participated at the Glastonbury Festival in England, NXNE Festival in Toronto, New Cinema Festival, Fringe and Pop Montreal, Fields Emporda Festival in Costa Brava, Fringe Festival in Bath, UK, Degeneration Festival in the Czech Republic as well as touring all over Europe in 2014-15.

Can Monroig is a private and independent space managed by Robert López Hinton and Marie-Noëlle Ginard Féron, dedicated to the restoration and recovery of old Mallorcan houses, to interior design and as a cultural association it regularly schedules cultural and artistic events.
