Dismantling the shelter

“Having some refuge in this uncertain world that cannot be destroyed is of paramount importance”
Mary Wollstonecraft

“The Dismantling of the Refuge” is a performance by Marie-Noëlle Ginard Féron carried out in April 2022 around a textile installation in the countryside.

A pile of stones from Can Monroig that were left on the ground more than fifteen years ago, recently rediscovered after clearing bushes and weeds, served as inspiration and starting point for a textile art and performance project around the idea of refuge or non-refuge. Dismantling your refuge, burning as a catharsis, leaving and never returning.
